Trump Administration send out duplicitous messages about Federal Spending between Medicare and the Iran Conflict

So, on one hand, you have Trump claiming we don't have enough funds for Medicare and all these Social(ist) Programs because we need it for the Iran War, then you have Marco Rubio claiming that the United States is winning the war and Iran is being defeated, which begs the question, why do we need so much funding then if that's the case? Why do we need so much funding that we're making cuts to the budget for our senior citizens in America in favor of supposedly defeating a smaller foreign country that did nothing to us?
